Does anyone on here use a shim with a carbon frame?

I am wondering if there would be an issue running a 30.9 reverb in a Carbon 456 with a 31.6 seat tube?

A few reasons why 30.9 and not 31.6 but I wont go into that.

Thanks

Did you use any paste or anything?

Some manufactures won't warranty the frame if it fails at the seat tube, there was a long thread a while back regarding a Devinci (I think).

I'd be using carbon paste regardless, it's good stuff.

Yeah, shimmed my C456 too, no bother (can't really see why carbon would be more likely to have problems than alu or steel tbh)
