I have a Tricross with 10spd 105 which has proved fairly tricky to get the gears shifting perfectly, I'm really not than keen on 10spd, give me an 8spd any day!!. It has 34x48 and 12-27 out the back. I've got the gears shifting nicely now but for some reason it slips/skips in the 4th largest (19) sprocket. It's only 3 months old and hasn't been used a great deal and only on the road, so the chain/cassette can't be worn?. I've checked the chain for damaged links and the 19 sprocket thinking it could be bent but I can't find anything!. Any ideas to what the cause could be?

When it's on the largest sprocket at the back, how close is the upper jockey wheel sitting to it? If it's a fair distance away, say half an inch in old money, then try unscrewing the B-tension screw and moving it closer. The further away it is then the less control it has over where the chain sits(imagine threading a needle by holding the cotton a few inches from the eye),i'm almost becoming paranoid about this after working on Shadow type mechs, but it can make a hell of a difference to shifting performance.
