[#334574]

kinda of a follow on from a thread last week about being proud.

My 26 month old Erin has got the balance on 2 wheels! We bought her a 12" wheel walker bike for christmas which she paddled round the house for a while. Been out a couple of times on it and on Friday she managed to scoot along and today she lifted both feet off and coasted.Well chuffed i am... I will post a pic asap.

My boy Zak has had his first bike for 4 months since his second birthday (Isla Rohan) and doesn't seem that interested - cant get him to sit down and lift both legs off to scoot - he kind of walks it around instead - Any tips Erin?

26 mo is brilliant.

I was double chuffed this weekend. My eldest (just turned 5) has been off and on with her stabilisers this winter. It's hardly the best time to learn when the grass is all soggy and hard to pedal on and there's a biting wind blowing. So I haven't had a chance really to spend a good long time with her getting her to get to grips with it.

So I was double pleased when i came back after this weekend away to find that Grandad has been helping her learn in the garden during which time, she basically cracked it. Pleased that she can very nearly do it now, but also pleased for the old boy too because it's given him a lot of pleasure helping her. He worked so hard when I was young that we didn't have much chance to spend this sort of time together, so he never really taught me to ride, I sort of got it myself. I hope he's as pleased as I am.
