Need something to do this Saturday? Come along to Curbar Hill around lunchtime to shout at some student types mincing up the hill.

Yeah, it's the BUCS (Formerly BUSA) Hill Climb.

Is it not tarmac and only 800m long?

No, it's about a mile and despite the gradient easing off slightly after the start section, it feels like it gets steeper all the way up. It's a killer of a climb, especially if you're trying to race up it.
