[Closed] Setting up rear derailleur

Was setting up my sram x.0 yesterday, but couldn't get it to shift to the smallest cog.

Do i just have to bugger around with the high limit screw, or the barrel adjuster at the lever, or both?

Also when the chain was off I was a bit nervous about how close the derailleur arm was to the cassette, especially when moving closer to the wheel (larger cogs), it was actually touching the cassette. Obviously when the chain is on the casette it pulls the derailleur arm down and forward, but with it of at the back the arm is hitting the cassette, is that normal? I suppose dropping the chain at the rear is probably unlikely?

you want it just on the cusp of slack when in the bottom cog

they will hit the mech with no chain in

sounds like a limit screw issue

If you slacken the cable of till its and it still doesnt go then it will be the limit screw.
