Sooo.

Chain on the [i]largest[/i] sprocket, tighten cable until it will shift to the smaller ones with each shift at the lever? Right?

Got quite confused last night...

yup. no more difficult than a regualr mech to set up, just reversed. you'll be happy, though. rapid rise is, in my opinion, easier in use than a reg. mech and you can jump down into harder gears quicker.
