Total novice as this is my first road bike that I bought second hand. Watching gcn video was just setting up my bike. Firstly set seat height second went to set seat position with plumb bob from under knee cap and with seat all the way forward the line was a good inch in front centre of crank arm. My question is as I’m guessing the bike is slightly too large for me would there be any issue from swapping the seatpost which has roughly 25mm setback to a seatpost that is inline? As this would give me a better fit but concerned wether is does alter geometry. Tia

I don't understand where the plumb bob lines up. Is it behind he pedal spindle?
I'd just go for a ride. I thought that the whole patella over pedal spindle was debunked?
