Solarider jnr was 1 on Mondaym(what year!), and since he is now a proper grown up rather than a baby (!) we are clearing out his early stage stuff (cot, car seat, bouncer and the like).

Don't like eBay, so where have people had success selling outgrown baby gear?

Most local areas have a facebook buying and selling page for baby stuff. T'wife's moved plenty on in this way, to generally pretty nice non-timewaster types.

As Jon said, we sold some stuff on Facebook but in all honesty even the expensive (when bought new) items werent really selling for a great deal.

In the end my partner gave a lot away to a local womens refuge for those escaping violent partners etc, which she found out about from a nurse at her baby group.

NCT groups do local sales for buying and selling baby stuff, they charge a small fee for a table. Else gumtree/facebook/ebay.

That's what we do. But as said, used baby gear isn't worth very much - which is a good thing if you bought it used in the first place!

+1 for this. We've done it a few times and shifted loads of stuff.

My wife's bought quite a few nice bits from NCT sales. That's where our stuff will end up if it doesn't go in store for other family members.
