been suffering with a bit of numbness recently on the road bike(yes the bike is set up properly)and thinking of getting one of these

can/have you used one on a drop bar road bike?

Whats your experience of one?

I tried one for similar reasons but found it too wide at the front, the packaging indicated it was intended for more upright/ trekkIng bikes. Now use it on upright town bike- its ok.
Ended up spending more to get a perforated-leather covered Selle Italia with cut-out for the road bike, so far so good.

wot squadra said - it's a big ol' beast of a saddle

good idea though; I've ended up with one of the "proper" smp saddles on my roadbike but they are eye-watering on grounds of cost

There is a narrower version, two actually that might be better suited to road bikes - the 'Hybrid' and the 'Extra'.

The TRK is too wide for road use. I've got it on my commuter and anything over 20 miles starts getting a touch uncomfy just due to the bulk.

The Extra is a lot narrower and quite squidgy.

The 'proper' leather ones are actually a lot harder (and I actually found a bit painful). which was a bit depressing as I'd just lashed out £150 to find that out....
