Thinking about taking the plunge and going to Sedona for 10 days in Oct, but can't persuade any riding mates to join (it's a big ask). Anyone ever done a trip there? Got any tips on accommodation or local rider groups, organised rides, that kind of stuff?

I had a great trip with a mate to Fruita a couple of years back and the locals were totally chilled and friendly, I'd have been fine going solo.

Thanks

Ace there at that time of year. Bike&Bean used to be a great source of information for all that stuff... try them first.

Managed to get there a couple time around that time of year and ace has said above. We just stayed in lower cost 'motel' accommodation in the less 'touristy' part of town (near Over The Edge bikes - now rebranded as Thunder Mountain bikes). We rode plenty trails from town, also shuttled (again, Over The Edge) out to some trailheads and road back to town.

Base yourself near Thunderbikes and go form there, its great riding. They can advise routes etc its a onestop shop.
