I'm looking at getting a bike shelter built for the family's pub/shopping bikes, ie not the expensive ones. It'll be by a side door, which is about 15 feet beyond the front door (which is also on the side of the house). It's obscured by foliage, but accessible to anyone without climbing over / breaking through a gate.

I'll want some form of anchor to lock the bikes (up to 4) to. Ground anchors are all very well but would need a longer chain, which is more of a faff to lock to and less secure due to possibilities for increased leverage. Does anyone know where I could get those big metal hoops that they have for bikes outside shops.

I made one myself by picking up a piece of scrap metal for a few pounds from a scrap yard and bag of post mix from B and Q. Total cost £8!!

Sounds like a good idea.

I have also found bollardsdirect. I love the thought of buying something from bollards direct. 🙂
