Are there any seatposts with a height marking other than the Ragley Spike?

NC17s are excellent, if a little porky.

better than scratching a mark in your plain black post, risking weakening it, mark the level between two pieves of masking tape, and polish off the black, with wet and dry, to prevent scoring the post.

NC17. Shame the bloody thing bent. Wish Thomson would have some kind of marking system, it's the only post I haven't nackered yet.

I use a tipex blob on my thomson, seems to be fine, when it starts to wear off just reapply?

I just use the transition point between seat tube grime and trail grime to 'mark' mine

All 6 posts we have in the stable (bonty, orange, & raceface seat posts) have markings - not sure if they are calibrated tho

better than scratching a mark in your plain black post, risking weakening it

How ****ing deep do you want the mark an inch???
OK I wouldn't prolly scratch a carbon post, but I reckon all but a 4mm hacksaw mark is likely to make little impact on an ally post.
& WTF do you destroy a seat post? do you sit hard on the saddle & use your spine for a rear shock??

Heavy + a lot of post out of the frame = bent seatpost.

Thanks for the advice - I ddin't know there was so much choice. I've gone for the Ragley Spike as it seems such good value and a clever design.

Anyone remember hite rites? Surely now would be a good time to bring them back with the number of people now post dropping.
