I need to get a seatpost out of a frame, its a aluminum frame and a steel seatpost or the other way round,, anyway ideas appeciated, ideally to save both the frame and the post?

Remove the wheels. Put the seat post in a vice and use the frame as leverage. Will probably kill the seatpost

If it's a steel frame, then remove the bottom bracket, bung up the bottom bracket hole with something (inner tube), and then pour in hot sodium hydroxide (caustic soda, about £1.50 from a garden centre) and leave overnight, occasionally stirring.

Wear rubber gloves and goggles if you value your good looks and eyesight.

Post up video when you're done!
