My xt brakes seem to be leaking oil around the piston,are they totalled or can they be repaired? Cheers.

they could be repaired if spares were available. You can scavenge seals from a cheaper shimano calliper to put in or simply replace the caliper for the want of a few pence worth of seals
Of course you must be mistaken - shimano never fail do they.
