Got 2 of these .Most comfy saddles i've ever used but...****in things develop a creak after about 18 months.Tried all the usual things copper grease on the rails ,bought some of that Pace carbon grease, put oil down where the rails fit in body.Nothing lasts more than a week .Such a shame as on top it looks as good as new.Don't suppose as they were cheap from On One they were slightly inferior versions .£20 from Merlin at the moment i think but don't fancy same again in 18 months.
Thinking of going for a Charge Spoon instead.

Only saddle I've ever broken a rail on so I would have loved to get 18 months use out of one .....

Oldfart - I want to try a Bel-air and I have a one ride old spoon that I could swap/sell? Brown/cro-mo, no creaks.

mine creaked since new, not so much now it's older. Only problem with mine is that it keeps trying to make a run for freedom, leaving me on the floor in a heap.

Mine used to creak from time to time, I think it's just a Ti rail thing. The cow-skin top got really shabby, so I replaced it with another Bel Air, but this time I got an I-Beam FL version. Result! No creaking, and even more comfy than my six year old cowskin one. In fact I was so impressed I put them on two of my other bikes as well.

I've got an I Beam one aswell. It's falling to bits, but it doesn't creak and it's very comfortable.

3 bel-airs amongst my mates, all creak to varying degrees/volumes. Still not enough to put me off getting another one though, mine is on my commuting bike and its lovely.

I have just got back from an evening ride and mine is worse than ever.
It never moves but it is so loud people won't ride near me, well I think its the noise.Where do you spray the grease Mal-ec? Just on the rails , all around?
I'll try anything.

bit of an update .took everything apart this afternoon eg seatpost fixings as well .good clean up fresh grease on the rails and it's quiet (for now )done that before doesn't last very long though .this time to my annoyance even put rear crud guard back on to stop dirt n debris flying up and pitching there.
