Hmm... ordered a third party screw in BB for a parts build due to lack of shimano availability and the tool I have is way too big. Cant imagine they have departed from Shimano sizing so is there another new standard that passed me by?

@Joshvegas Yes 100% sure ๐Ÿ˜‰ It is in hand tight (the correct way) just the bb tool I have is way to big to do the final nip up. Its an external BB.

Oh god, sorry misread your post! The shame.

Yeah they have a different tol size. I though the last BB I got came with a little plastic adapter to fit the old size tool.

Looks like the OD is 39mm if that is any help.

This is the bike industry, therefore there is no standard. I currently have about 9 different types in the workshop, and still haven't covered all bases. Probably your best bet is to check Park Tools' website for a similar diameter and spline count.
