Hi
Im heading up to the scottish borders in a week for around a week. Looking for recomendations of the best trails / centres to head for. Any other suggestions of places to ride. Planning on generally a trail centre mission having done every centre in England and Wales it would be nice to do the stanes. Just interested in trails rather than DH/freeride.
Are the stanes typically anymore technical than anything at CYB etc?

Last time I was at CYB was on the Red Bull opening day 😆 Correction 2001, on a trailbuilding course with Daffyd Davis OBE. Built a corner on the MBR trail I recall.
I have ridden with some Welsh guys who were the people who supplied the machinery to some of the trailbuilders and they reckoned our trails were more difficult.
They are all good imo, just different and some people like some trails better than others. Ride as many as you can and make your own mind up imo 😆
Throw in Drumlanrigg for some old skool root riding 💡
btw there is Scottish Borders(GT, Inners, Newcton) and Dumfries& Galloway(Ae, Mabie,D beattie, Kirry, Glentrool). 2 separate counties 😉
