I had a Scale 30 until last week until the BB bonding gave way.
Dealt with the bike shop I bought it from, Hargroves Cycles, and recieved quick and excellent service and a new upgraded frame is on the way to me.
My question though Scott offer a 5 year warranty if serviced and 3 year if not. The only original part on my bike was the frame, so what is classed as a service. I do all my own maintenance and struggle to see what a service would do in terms of the frame.
Is it simply to check all parts are installed correctly and not causing added stresses on the frame?
This pretty much applies to fsers only. Basically it's saying a Scott dealer should check your bike on a regular basis.
I'm pretty sure its just the suspension bikes. I have a ransom and i have to have the bearings looked at/changed and have the shock serviced every 12 months or the warranty in invalid
It's all Scott Bikes
Im a dealer and asked the head honcho at Scott the question that a service wont affect the frame integrity, unless its Drakes who will **** it up, but aside from that, his response is that it is to ensure customers get a Scott dealer to check the bike over, which I wasnt happy with as i reckon the warranty should be five years regardless of who looks at it.
