Got hold of a Scott Scale with integrated seatpost and was wondering if anyone has any experience/ advice on cutting the seatpost to size. The bike hasn't come with the cutting guide that i think came with new bikes. Any help appreciated and a Happy New Year to all for later.

Put the stubby clamp on the top of the mast with your saddle attached, measure your saddle height from your old frame or whatever to the centre of the saddle rails (A), measure your new frame to the centre of the saddle rails (B), deduct A from B, mark this distance from the top of the seat mast, wrap tape around the mast and cut to the line.

Or failing that I probably have a cutting guide in the garage from my old one. dc30online AT gmail.com if you need it.

cut off 10mm less than you think you need to, and measure at least 3 times...

It doesn't need to be that perfect a cut as the saddle clamp thing will hide any imperfections.

Good luck-I wouldn't fancy cutting one myself!

Sell it ASAP since a dropper seatpost won't fit! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Brand New fine tooth hacksaw blade and masking tape, mark the tape and cut the tape not above or below. Wear a mask as its nasty stuff the dust. Measure many times. I did my bosses old road bike, measured about 5 times to be sure. If you cock it up you can get a long seat clamp
