[Closed] Scott racing JR 24?

I've found a reasonably prices 2nd hand scott kids bike but cannot find any references on the net to it. Its branded Scott USA and has boots over the stanchions yet the guy selling it says its only 2 years old. The nearest reference to the exact model name I can find is 2006 after that they all seem to be scale rc jr and all have open stanchions.
Even the 2006 is in the wrong colours to the bike i'm looking at.
Anybody shed any light on it as if its really 8 years old its not so much of a bargain.
