Hello has anyone ridden/owned a scott high octane fr frame, from around 2005/6 era, what are they like? what sort of weight, basically any info would be great.

They used to crack around the mudguard mounts, I always wanted one but couldn't get a demo on a large frame so didn't. Small one felt good though, even peddled acceptably. for something very similar but better regarded look at the cannondale Gemini's from the same year.

Used to see a few of them at dragon downhill races. Occasionally saw them with the head tube still attached to the frame. I used to love the looks but they had some cracking issues

Stupidly high shock ratios and very prone to snapping. Everyone I knew who had one snapped it.
I'd steer well clear unless it's stupid cheap.
