I am in the market for a steel ride, and am mulling over the Pipedream Scion and Sanderson life...

The life is rrp £100 more, what's the collectives esperience with these two, is the Sanderson worth the extra £100?

I know people are going to mention onones, genesis and Cotic, but like I said I have narrowed it down to those two.

Thanks in advance!

Jay

I've the sanderson, and love it!

It is quite lively/flexy/steel depending on your POV though. I'm 15st so probably feel that more than most, but I didn't notice it so much in my 456 or switchback.

I've just had the same debate and went with the Scion, which has apparently just turned up at my house. I looked quite closely at the Sanderson but for the extra money you just appeared to be getting a slightly naff paintjob...

Plus there's a fair few positive reviews for the Sirius kicking about on't web but very little about the Sanderson. There's a few happy Sanderson owners but tbh they're not particularly impartial.

i bought a sanderson life about 6 weeks ago, having had the same debate, picked it up new for £350 from The Bike Chain in glasgow/edinborough online, fantastic service and can't fault the frame, it's a fabulous ride, confident and assured
not sure about the 'naff' paintjob, mine seems pretty good, the welding is tidy and neat,
it's quite long on the top tube,(i spoke to Sanderson and they said it was designed like on old Kona, long and racy) but i like that, coupled with a short stem and some f120's it is a fab ride. nice and responsive with a bit of flex/spring in the back.
I have not ridden the pipedream scion, but that would have been my other choice as well, and it does look nice and gets good reviews,
if you live anywhere down south your welcome to try mine.
i doubt you would be disapointed if you bought either, owners of both rate them highly.
hope that helps

Actually to be fair the paintwork looks good, it's the decals which are a bit odd looking. Not a big thing but off-putting enough for me.

mmm...
I am sort of leaning towards the Sanderson, but decisions, decisions!

Thanks for the offer of the ride, unfortunately I live in Notts!
