[Closed] Schwalbe Performance compound - someone must know something

Schwalbe don't publish the compound for the Performance DC, but why? It strikes me that:

A) It's relatively cheap
B) It's the same TPI sidewall as an evo snakeskin
C) If used on the rear any lesser slight lack of grip is marginal to overall performance

It's been around for a while and I'm curious to the makeup of the tyre - someone must know something by now?

Aren't the "Performance" compound just slung on new bikes? Seems to be always suggested to replace them asap.

I've had a pair of rocket rons in performance and wouldn't use them again...

It isn't btw, except for tyre wear- grip in the dry is noticably worse, grip in the wet is plain poor, and they're not really any quicker.

There's not much info about them just because thre's not much interest in them; they just get filed along with every other bad cheap tyre. (not to say there aren't good cheap tyres)

I have a performance ralph rear and an evo ron front, works fine although I'll replace it with an evo. Performance compound seems harder and less grippy, most notably on hard wet surfaces.

Performance isn't just oem, it's just a cheaper model as far as I know.

I was sent a performance compound Hans Dampf by mistake, ended up putting it on the back of my bike for a couple of rides after shredding a Spec Purg, ordered a proper compound HD after the first ride, it was terrible, no grip at all. They're also not tubeless compatible.

I had a Performance Compound Hans Dampf that I bought to get me out of bind.

It managed to achieve that rare combo of being draggy and utterly gripless!
