[#12225942]

Just bought a Beto tubeless inflator to avoid using dozens of CO2 cartridges as I try to get to grips with tubeless setup.

I didn’t realise that you pressurise it via a schrader valve. My Silca track pump is presta only and I’ll end up with one arm like Spartacus if I use a mini pump.

Can you get a schrader to presta adapter? I’ve searched but only seem to find presta to schrader…

What Silca pump do you have?

Mine has the brass bell shaped presta adapter that screws on to the end of the hose. The screw on part of the hose is a schrader fitting.

Silca Brass Valve Head

This one. The rubber valve seal is shot (and about £10 to replace). A new valve attachment might not be a bad idea…

Marvel at my markup skills!

Unscrew the bell adapter A from B. B is a schrader valve. Screw B schrader valve onto your Beto inflator.

An old skool pump hose will do it. The presta end might be a bit short to hold securely though.

pump hose

Couple of quid from any bike shop or Halfords

That said if your current pump head is worn I'd look to replace that with a dual one

OP. You already have a schrader valve on your Silca pump.

What a complete numpty!

I actually unscrewed that bit to see how I might attach a new valve head!

I’ve had the pump for donkey’s years and having always used presta valves had never investigated.

STW to the rescue yet again!

Thanks all, and especially for the photo uploads!

I had one of those. I had no idea it had a Schrader valve.
