Anyone tried one? I like it cos there's no cables (neat looking), but it's expensive and very niche to take a punt on, so looking for any real user feedback. Would be looking to use with 9 speed rear and also singlespeed rear to give 2 gears.

Unless they have changed the crank arms I reckon they are probably its main downfaill as just seemed so cheap and nasty when I was fondling one. Also they need the bb chamfering I think so there are a limited number of bike shops with the right equipment or an engineering shop in every town I imagine. If they now fit ISCG then the arms are my only gripe.

Although it struck me as a rip off of the Schlumpf i'd really go with the SRAM one if it was my money.

I ebayed the one we had lying around and it made a good price I think so i'd not bother looking secondhand and buy new with a warranty just in case of problems.

From what I remember the ratios it gave were quite good so probably at least as good as running two conventional rings, the one we had was for a Rohloff project which we sidelined before throwing too much labour at an option that would rarely sell.
