snaps - saw a thing on tv about the construction of that, amazing!

Hora - how do you pluck up the courage to ride a mtb if you scared of that? ๐Ÿ˜›

That bridge is chuffing amazing, but you've got to laugh when you think about the cost versus the benefit. Only the French could have built it - best example of what 'dirigeste' means I've ever seen.

Its true, I have a fear of heights. Funniest moment- ever been DOWN in a wire ski lift/chair? In Switzerland I went over on foot to pick up someones mountain bike after he had an accident/had to be airlifted. Never thought about it going up but in a wire/open chair going down the chair swings oddly forwards- pitching you against the bar and going over severe points was interesting!

Didn't Fred Dibnah (the real one) drive his traction engine across that bridge on his way to collect his MBE?

snaps yes and I remember rightly he was a bit nervous? Something to do with sat onto of a steam engine looking down the side unrestrained and this is coming from someone used to climbing chimneys and big old churches!

as a regular M62 driver and therefore with plenty of time on my hands have wondered if it would be the classic test of the great animal loving british public if a few militant farmers lowered cows on ropes into the oncoming traffic from that viaduct - would people stop? the whole of the north of england could be held to ransom
