So half way through a bottle of red and very tempted by a Planet X XLA CX bike. I have been looking for some time and can't find a better CX option despite extensive trawls and a traps around several bike shops today. I am currently commuting on an old Cube Race CX bike and having committed to commuting through the winter I need something more reliable and critically tubeless.
2 more glasses and order one or sleep on it?

They were doing a frame clearance yesterday. Couple of frame and fork deals that were very good. I'm not far of going for one of there Space Chickens but having had no alcohol I might be able to hold off till Monday. Happy buying. Go for it.

NB - I read the other day that quickquid is folding...
My lad got an XLA SL with Rival HRD back in Sept. He is really happy with it. The stock wheels are a bit meh in my opinion but the are fine for training and me being a serial component swapper upgrades are already on the way. Dont forget if you do the pick it, build it, ride it, deal you can get another 10% off. For the money I dont think you can beat the XLA or XLA SL.
PS the stock saddle is worth upgrading. My son literally snapped his in half riding across the park on the way back from a training ride.

So, didn't take the plunge last night but still poised. Slight concerns over sizing ad I a 5'11" so a bit in the middle of a L or a M.
However, I cannot find anything better for that kind of money so thinking about popping up next week to have a look.

Ordered!!
Faffed about all week looking at different options and finally went for the XLS, upgraded the saddle and went for the Pick Build Ride option to save 10%. Planning to pop up there the week after next on the Wednesday and build it with the help of Planet X.
