I was wondering if anyone who is 5ft 10 inches tall is riding a large Nomad? on Santa Cruz website 5ft 10 is on the border between medium and large frame, what do you think??? But I'm not sure if a large would be too big?
i'm that height and ride a medium chameleon i would advice the same. But if your spending that much on a frame go test them both out I'm sure there are many santa cruz test bikes around
I'm 5'10" and demoed a large at glentress. Bar standover it was a bit on the small side...
The fit/geometry actually worked OK - it was effectively long ends, short middle, so although I was sat very upright, my weight was still centred on the bike and it still climbed OK. (within the lmitations of GT, where there aren't any really steep technical climbs).
Certainly I'm pretty convinced that a medium would be WAY too small unless I ran a silly long stem - the 50mm the test bike had on was just right in terms of handling.
I am 6ft and ride a medium Blur. My son is about 5ft 10 and rides a medium Nomad. I had a short ride on his bike and it felt similar to my own. So I would say medium.
I'm 6ft and have a large nomad. Would be tempted to try a medium if I was buy another one, just for extra chuckabilty. That said the large is fine...
6ft and ride the medium nomad although its now my mini downhill bike and its great at that
they are pretty short (about an inch shorter in the top tube than a medium zesty). try before you buy.
Not that this is particularly relevant but I am 6'4" tall and I ride a Large. If I was you I would definitely go for the medium as it will keep it flickable
I'm just over 6.1 and a large with a 50mm stem was perfect for me although i did crack the frame, I reckon a medium is ideal for someone 5.9 6ft
