Has any one used another brand of grease that fits the little grease gun you get from Santa Cruz?

Any feed back appreciated, I don't just want to put EP2 in as good as it is.

Cheers
Mark

It's hard to find the wee tubes (I'm assuming you're talking about the old type 'proper' grease gun).

I just put some of this in:

Seems alright. Maybe a wee bit soft. You could of course buy any farm/construction/marine grease and refill the empty tube but I can't be bothered with the mess.

I bought a few of the 3oz tubes of sta-lube marine grease from the US.

lithium complex grease is what you want, with Mobil XHP 222 being the best. It's the blue stuff Hope use, but as far as I'm aware is only available in quantities smaller than 18kg barrels in the U.S. There was a guy called Matthew Wells selling it online (I think he'd bought a barrel and was repackaging), but his website appears to have been deleted.

I use lucas red and tacky with a small different grease gun with a very thin end.

Works a charm and has done for the last 6 months/ 2000 miles.
