I've been looking around for a new hardtail frame for summer, to run long travel forks and have found this new frame, cant seem to find price anywhere tho. Any ideas?

i've just received an update on this. will take forks up to 140mm, tubing is custom drawn 4130, colour is black as above. it weighs just over 5 and a half pounds, will cost £349 and available in 5 weeks. question is do i go for this, a Bfe or sovereign?

If its anything like my 853 the build quality and detailing is outstanding. I paud £200 s/h and so far have spent the best part of a year just looking at it! Time to get it built up methinks!

Any geometry details?

Sandersons are beautifully made. I think they only stay 'hidden' due to the colour choices available.

I had a Sanderson Breath a few years ago (£100 off Ebay, slightly used) It was British Racing Green and probably the nicest looking bike I'll ever own. I loved it (And I snapped it 🙁 )

TBH I like BeFes and I'd love to have one, but I'd have a Sanderson over a Cotic any time. Lovely frames. 🙂

I loved the colour of my Life. It was like shiny primer. Subtle. I always thought the colourscheme would help stop it getting nicked, but no such luck sadly.

What with the funny headtube style? Is it for a integrated headset or something?

Seatstays above toptube on the seattube? Fail.

headtube just looks ring-reinforced. On the steel xc ones its straight on the inside and flares out on the outside to have a bit more meat where the cups press in.

Excuse my ignorance buts what's wrong with seatstays above top tube?

Oh and yes mine (soloist) has well tidy welding too. Not the lightest frame on earth but then not really why I bought it.

Oh there's nowt technically wrong with having the seatstays like that - I just think it looks terrible.

Agree with IvanDobski.

Just look crap like that.

I like a nice line from headtube to dropouts, a bit like DJ bikes or small HTs.

I however always need XL gate shaped bikes so never get one that looks nice 🙁

dont know why they havent put iscg mounts on.

agree on the seatstay/ seat tube thing, i really like black bikes but that one doesnt od much for me. not too keen on the red around the decals either.

Looks very nice but it'd have to be a good bit cheaper before I'd go for one over a BFe.

true epicsteve, the bfe is hard to beat. i reckon id probably choose a bfe over an alpine too. ive gone for a sovereign over both though 😀

dont know why they havent put iscg mounts on.

a) its harder to bang a hardtails chainset on the ground than a full susser for obvious reasons

b) ISCG fixes the guide in position so if you do smash into something it's likely to rip the mounts off the frame.

you shouldnt do them up so tight that it damages the frame bit fair point

Pretty happy with my Breath frame. Some nice detailing re headtube/actual headbadge. Nice tidy frame, but was'nt willing to spend the extra £100 for the 853.

Also running it with 140mm Thor forks, so slightly more than they recommend but its fun to ride.
Would have preferred the grey paint vs green though.

my Breath is very well finished and has a nice and springy to ride.

if i didn't already have an Alpine i'd be interested in the Blitz.....

it's just a shame that the names the Sanderson guys choose are shit.

I have a sanderon life with 140 u turn rev's on it handles amazing. the frame is british designed and built proof have riden mine for the last year and a bit in the peaks and now i life in scotland it gets some real abuse. they are quality bikes.
and dont worry about the colour just get out and ride it!!!

I now have one of these built up.

After only two outings on it, my initial impression is that it outperforms both the On One 456 and the Pace 303 XCAM I own. It is slightly heavier than both and there are a couple of niggles I'm sure I will manage to sort, but so far I'd have no hesitation recommending it.

Flying Fox Bikes in Alva have them on offer just now at a really silly price from what I recall...give them a shout for a deal.
(not an sales advert, just spotted them whilst I was in a week or so ago and thought I'd mention it as the OP was interested in getting one)

For roughly the same price (it is, isn't it?) I'd go for the Bfe anyday.

I have a new-to-me secondhand Bfe frame (in the nice blue colour) in my garage and it is by far the most beautiful bike frame I have ever owned.

Higher quality tubing, proven geometry, probably higher resale value too...
