Anyone got one or got any opinions on them? Thinking about getting one for the wife to use as a daily watch for the fitness tracking and to use the GPS for tracking walks/runs/general fitness.
Also looked at the Tomtom Spark but I already have a Mulitsport and they are pretty big and bulky and look massive on her wrist and the spark doesn't look much smaller
Is there anything else out there that does GPS and is neat, fitness is less critical but quite a nice thing to have and would encourage her on a day to day basis.
Thanks
Garmin Vivo Active HR or Fitbit Surge
any reason why the GPS on her phone wouldn't track her walks?
fitbit charge 2 can connect to the phone GPS for location viewing...otherwise most basic devices will calculate the overall distance travelled (without needing GPS)
(at least I think thats the case...may not be as accurate tho)
question is "do you want GPS plus added fitness or fitness with added GPS"
She is training for a 12hr hike so was looking to get a separate GPS and phone.
Was originally looking at GPS only but form is a fairly major factor and the GPS watches are pretty awful. The Microsoft Band and Samsung seem to be the least horrible. The fitness tracking is very much an added bonus as she has a long term health issue so monitoring activity levels would probably be useful
I'm just about to hit the button on a TomTom Spark 3. That's about half the price of the Samsung for the basic model, or only £150-ish with the built-in HR monitor.
Other option may be the Garmin Forerunner 230/235
I think I read something about the new Garmin Fenix 5 coming in a smaller size, but don't think it is out until a few months time?

It would probably be considered far too big as a watch, but how about buying a Sony Smar****ch 3 for ~£75, but then remove the strap and simply place the unit in a zipped pocket?
