I'm in again this year, but this time with the kids!!!
It's gonna be a long afternoon, even on the short course.
11.55 start for us, if we're back for when the seals start playing, I'll be happy!!

Hope to get in on the day entry.
Just doing the short course as not feeling up to the longer one as been off the bike for 2 months.
What time do I need to arrive do you think for one of the 50places ?

Yep - we are there. Any event that ends in a beer tent outside a brewery works for me. It was great fun last year so hopefully more of the same*.

I hope so rich, we've never had a wet one yet, and I don't want tommorow to be the first. A little cloud cover to keep the temps down a bit would be perfect.

Great event again, with perfect weather conditions. Loved seeing all the kids out on course as well. Good effort to all.

Great beers and bands afterwards all topped off by winning TWO raffle prizes ๐Ÿ˜€

Trails were running spot on and it was a puncture fest on the descents ๐Ÿ™‚ I fell foul twice one sealed but the second slashed the tyre and received a covering of Stans!

We got round the short course in 3 hours 58 mins, which is a great time considering our 7 year old was on 20" wheels!
The longest ride our two boys have done, and they enjoyed every minute.
A few pilocks passing without notice, nearly causing accidents, but mostly everyone was very supportive of the kids having a go.

I did my first Sam Houghton yesterday and really enjoyed it! Legs were done by the end but was really chuffed with my time. Great event put on and good beer and banter afterwards too!

Sorry to hear about your wife's ankle, hope she makes a speedy recovery! Is that what the ambulance and mountain rescue were out for?

Aye that's them, with my dad to the left, ( the bloke with the starting hooter). Me and my wife are behind the two blokes on the right.
Oh and I recognise the speedy youth in blue, behind my boys.
