I've ridden about 3 times over the years and only once from the Wray end back towards Slaidburn. The other times we've set off from Slaidburn, done Salter Fell, had dinner in a pub and then ridden back on the quiet back roads. I'm thinking about going back up there so which way would you do it?

Odd, Dave? You? ๐Ÿ˜‰
I just admit to being quite fond of the 'up' too. However the rest of the party, er, aren't...

Ton. Is you "new electric" bike capable of powering you all the way? Over 500mtr climbing plus weight of bike and rider.Otherwise it's a long exposed 9 mile walk?

Ton. Have you ever been to Salter Fell. It only has "up" it dosen't do "flat" or "down", and if it's not "up" it's into the headwind :-). It's a natural phenomena in the Forest of Bowland ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
