I've ridden about 3 times over the years and only once from the Wray end back towards Slaidburn. The other times we've set off from Slaidburn, done Salter Fell, had dinner in a pub and then ridden back on the quiet back roads. I'm thinking about going back up there so which way would you do it?
same as you.
doing it in september on my new leccy bike as part of our annual weeks tour.
hope the battery dont run out going over there, could be a long old push......... ๐
I tend to do it the other way - from Wray back towards Slaidburn. but then I am kind of odd and like climbing
Odd, Dave? You? ๐
I just admit to being quite fond of the 'up' too. However the rest of the party, er, aren't...
is it worth it when you doing it?
Run that by me again with some punctuation in it, Junky.
Ton. Is you "new electric" bike capable of powering you all the way? Over 500mtr climbing plus weight of bike and rider.Otherwise it's a long exposed 9 mile walk?
Phil......i can ride the flats and down bits. ๐
Ton. Have you ever been to Salter Fell. It only has "up" it dosen't do "flat" or "down", and if it's not "up" it's into the headwind :-). It's a natural phenomena in the Forest of Bowland ๐
Is it worth it? nice ride etc
When are you doing it? day time
And
SORRY
