Up in Lancashire over Easter - will no doubt do a session at Gisburn but am alos thinking of the "out and back" over Salter Fell from Slaidburn. Has anyone been up there recently - conditions? overall rideability? I haven't done it before but like the idea of some remoteness.
Other alternative is Dunsop / Trough of Bowland - any feedback on conditions would be good.

Still quite a bit of snow up there at the moment but it's mostly wind-blown ie. stacked up by walls, so the climb up from Slaidburn over to Whitendale may be unrideable whereas Salter Fell road may be good. I'm just pondering where to go today so I'll let you know if I go that way.
