anyone got a vaya? Hows the front end?

I've recently built one up and it's currently sporting a -17° stem to get the bars below the saddle. i'm considering a -35° stem as i'd like to drop the bars another inch.

Looked at others online and lots of people seem to have spacers, positive rise stems etc.

if i'd have gone a size down (which i think would be too small) it would lose 10mm but i'd have more toe overlap....

I had one - very high front end, but then it is that sort of bike. Now have a Crosslight Pro6 which is much better off-road.

Could you not take about an inch off the head tube? It looks really long!

For what reasons did you buy it? Is there anything else that fits the bill?

I'd be tempted to get rid now rather than trying to force it to fit.

These look similar but dont have a mega head tube

definitely - it sticks up by about 40mm. some of my other bikes have as little as 5mm. even being cautious a frame builder could cut 25 mm off.

I have contacted a local frame builder....

road bike with discs & clearance for 35c + guards.

I know its still not proper road geometry, but I reckon this looks better than the Vaya

The thing is the Vaya is not a cross bike, it's a gravel road tourer - hence the geometry.

Yes. Although Thom didnt mention road touring, just a road bike with discs with large tyre clearance.
