ton - I got mine from Stu's dutch link.

Cost a bomb, but I needed one urgently rather than wait for Ison.
Superb rim 🙂

Builds up easily too.

I think I dropped a "ton" to get one from dutchman*

*You see what I did there? 🙂

I built mine into a superstarcomponents 20mm hub - despite all the shit bits of SSC Ive had, this is a great bit of kit. I got it for a bargin £15 and for an extra £7 you get the QR cups as well. So I move this wheel between my Reba 20mm bolt-thru and On-One QR rigids. WOrks a treat.
Was out on it today with the WTB Werewolf 2.55" LT. Makes a great front end, but a bit hefty (about 1.6Kg)

A bling front end you have there sir - nice!

I've had a Wierwolf arrive today - was going to try it in the rear to replace a RR, but perhaps I should try it up front?

If I had the WTB on the back, Id consider turning it around since I ride SS.

Im toying with RR - what are they like?

As it is I have enough tyres to last until the rapture! 🙂

BTW - ton - buy a rim and get a man with oily fingers to build it. Also, look for a cheaper hub than Hope. Taiwanese front 20mm hubs are fine and even if the bearings are gash, they're a doddle to replace/upgrade. Rear hubs a re a bit different, but even then I dont see Hope as being far better than many taiwanese ones.

It doesnt help that my recently converted neighbour and I "pool" rubber.

I think we have
2x SB8
1x Exiwolf
1x Werewolf
1x Vulpine
2x Stout
2x Ignitor

and we only have 2x bikes 🙂

Of course, as the king of rubber (oo'err) that probably seems small fry to you 🙂

RR's are overall a very good tyre. The best part is their rolling speed is faster than a whores draws on speed. Their side walls are very fragile, and the reason I'm finally moving on is their poor braking traction

Well worth a try though and i think there's a snake skin version out
