these have a 3 bolt pattern can anyone tell me the bolt spacing, in other words will i be able to fit one to what i assume are crudcatcher bosses on my whyte.

Don't know off hand but my Salsa Fargo has the 3 bolt spacing so i could check later. Does it give any info on the accessories page of the Salsa website?
Possibly, but there might not be too much clearance afterwards to strap a dry bag in.

The spacing between the holes is the some as standard bottle cage spacing.
It just got one extra mount.

ordered one anyway think it will prob fit best if i use the top hole onto the lower boss and cable ties to secure

It'll take an anything cage bolted to all three mounts or a standard two boss cage mounted either high or low.
I've got a couple of the anything cages ready for a trip i'm planning later in the year.
