Just bought a second hand non stealth Reverb for my son's bike. What's the neatest way to run/attach the cable when you're not following the route with cable clips on the frame?

I'm hesitant to drill a frame to attach new clips? Should I be?
Are there non drill clips?

As ever, thanks in advance

I'd say don't bother drilling the frame. I ran an external hose for a reverb on my cube stereo using electrical tape and cable ties, neat but not massively pretty, worked though. I think I had the remote on the left handside, ran the hose around to the right hand side of the steerer tube in it's natural arc, taped it to the underside of the top tube just behind this and had a loose cable tie near the seat tube. It kept the hose under control but allowed some movement when the post dropped, bit of tweaking but was fine.

These are decent, but expensive for what they are (there's some alternatives, these are just the ones I used when I had to do the same job). I found the adhesive wasn't quite up to it long-term, they fell off eventually so I reattached with gel superglue, they ain't coming off again.

Having said that, I have an external dropper on my remedy just now as a stopgap and it's just cabletied on hideously.

I was worried how I was gonna do it on my Boardman HT.

In the end I just did one ziptie to the bottle cage and it's totally fine.

You can see the cable beneath the cage in this pic...
