Hey Guys,
I'm considering sticking my triple SLX crankset on my new bike just to see how it all goes together but I'm not fussed about having a shifter on there as I'd prefer to run it 1 x 9.
Am I going to need a chain device of some form to keep the chain in place or will I be okay?

it will work just fine without a chain device on the road and tracks etc but if your battering over roots and doing the odd jump drop off then your going to need a chain device.
