[Closed] Rubena tyres - anyone tried them?

[#6822980]

Had my first proper ride on some new tyres from Rubena today, thought I would try something a bit different to the standard brands I normally gravitate towards.

The type I chose were the Kratos and I have to say they seemed pretty bloody good in the sloppy slippy stuff and also on the sections that were a bit drier. Thumbs up so far, be good to hear if anyone else has tried them, seem to have a decent pedigree in an Olympic winner.

I believe they're only available in black currently?

Had the rep in my shop today, he's sending me some Kratos to try out. Must admit they do look very good, quality of construction feels 2nd to none, and a nice tacky compound in hand. The proof will be in the pudding though!

Big thumbs up to Rubena, once I've given them a good test, will report back with my verdict.

I reviewed some a while back. http://ukxcnews.com/2014/08/26/review-29er-rubena-zefyros-tyres/

Still on a bike in the garage actually if anyone wants them! 🙂

Have you noticed that the plastic packaging doubles up as a mud guard mboy. Maybe not pretty but a nice touch for anyone environmentally friendly

Was pointed out to me by the rep yeah!

At the same time as we also sell the Muckynutz fenders, so I'll keep a little quiet about that one myself... 😉

Initial impressions of the tyre? I've not got a bike to stick them on at the moment having just sold my HT, though that will be remedied very soon...

Any update mboy? I am still liking mine, was out with a friend the other day and his tyres were clogged up and mine were pretty clear, seem to shed mud well.
