thinking about trying these and wondering how the folding(not ust)2.2
are with stans? do they have light/thin sidewalls or would i be better
of with the 200grm heavier ust's?

can you get the folding ones yet? I've obviously taken my eye off the ball...

I've tubelessised a Conti Slash on a 717, it is perhaps lighter still than the 2.2 rubber queen. it held up fine, but i don't often damage tyres.

the rubber queen is a big ol' fatty though, so if you were to tubeless it on a narrow rim you might be pushing your luck with it rolling off (when i got really lairy with the 2.3 slash on a 717 it unseated a bit, didn't loose air but looked as if i'd seriously buckled my wheel)

We've tried running normal Rubber Queens as tubeless with loads of sealant but they slowly leaked air out over a couple of days.

Proper tubeless Rubber Queens should be available very soon though I hear.

Already got mine 😀

Surprised to hear they leaked, surely just bad luck with the sealant or something? using the slash as a comparison again, if there seamed to be a slow leak i'd just pump it up and take it out for a ride, always seemed to seal any leaks.

Been running proper tubeless RQs for 2 months, great tyres, very big for 2.2s, strong enough not to be too 'rolly' at low pressures and light enough at 850g. Excellent grip on hard, fast, rocky, loose, dusty and mildly moist terrain, if the weather continues in its current vein I should be able to give the mud verdict very soon!

Running normal RQ 2.3 on Archs with rubber strips and solution with no problems. Well OTT for virtually everything though.

Aside from sharp sidewall piercing type rock, at a guess.
