What's the RQ like as a rear tyre in winter

All tyres are pretty shite in mud. I've found both 2.2" and 2.4" RQs to be pretty much as good as anything else I've tried in the mud.

Not great, but there are much worse.

They're a great all-round tyre.

I'd have thought the 2.4 would be pretty awful though, mainly because it's so massive. I use 2.2s.

Slithery yeah. Better than Mountain Kings, worse than anything square and blocky.

I've not been impressed by them in the mud.

Best in smooth or rocky terrain.

I rode with 2.2" RQ on rear last weekend on slivery stuff around Sheffield... Had a minion on the front though ๐Ÿ˜‰ Its ok on the rear, and OK in damp conditions.... but As above, the only good mud tyres are mud tyres...
