[Closed] RS Reba 29 Rotor Clearance?

Hi Guys

I have just started building my first 29er, I went to fit the front brake, put the wheel in and noticed that the rotor is very close to the post mount parts of the fork, when fitting the calliper it seems that because of this I can't move the calliper far enough over to centre it over the rotor.

I am using a 20mm Maxle Bontrager Rhythm front wheel, I am not sure if it is the hub that's causing the problem....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Adam

My old Reba 29er maxle has an incredibly tight clearance but my newer ones are fine. The old one has enough room to get a few pieces of paper between the rotor and the mount.

Works fine in practise though.

I have used a file to take off excess material on brake adapters before. You only need clearance, you don't need lots of clearance.
