I'm running a Ti Fox Van on a Tracer.
I have a chance of purchasing a cheap - like £50 cheap - Fox RP23 - the pre boost valve/velocity/rebound/high volume one.
So its the initial RP23 with propedal and rebound adjust.
Any comments as to IF this won't work with the Tracer, or what problems it may cause and why? I want to use it 4/5 times a year for racing, really just to remove weight.
Thoughts please?
cheap as chips.. buy it, try it.. sell it for more if you don't like it?
Well yes, but the Boost valve version is well known for issues with the Tracer, and I didnt want to bother if this was going to be worse thats all.
If you are only going to use it 4-5 times a year and its going to cost £50, does it matter?
@ Flow - yes, its all well and good being a pound-ish lighter but if it handles badly during racing I'd get faster times sticking to the coil IMO.
Mind you, we are talking Sunday league not UK XC Podiums. 🙂
You wouldn't be used to the shock anyway if you only put it on for races, I doubt it will be that bad.
Get it, you'll be able to sell it for more if it's in good nick so it's a no-risk thing.
Buy it, try it.
Like it, keep it.
Hate it, sell it at a profit (or to me for £50) 😉
