Just checking my bike and noticed oil around the top of my shock, wiped it off and had a fiddle and when I turn the red rebound all the way oil comes out seemingly under some pressure. It's only 5 months old so will be going back but just wondered what the problem might be, I assume a seal has gone somewhere?

There is no seal up there (just taken mine apart this afternoon). Has your bike been upside down for any long period of time. Oil will seep downwards not upwards. You would experience air loss before the little bit of oil that is in the shock to keep it lubed.
I suggest return for piece of mind.

no the bike hangs up by the front wheel so it must have happened when riding, no noticable loss of air though
