As per title, I've got problems with my RP23 where my bushes seem to be wearing out ridiculously quickly. I put it down to a poor batch of bushes I bought where I was having to change my bushes on my Orange 5 every couple of months. Just put a new pair from a new batch on my shock and after one ride the bushings are knocking again. I did notice that the last time I removed my bushes they seemed to glide out very easily, so do you think there may be wear on the shock eyelets?

I've also replaced the standard alloy cups with TF tuned mounting kit.....

Orange 5 you say?, i'd check the bearings in the swing arm and swingarm alignment before fitting any more shock bushes.

Is the TF kit brand new?

I'd suspect knocks elsewhere personally, it's possible it's the shock but not the most likely. Bearings or shock mounts on the frame especially worth checking.

Maybe, but get your frame alignment checked out before you trash another shock

Good shout on the frame bearings, they've been in 13 months so I best have a look at them next.

Yeah new mounting kit to replace the alloy worn out top hats.

You need to change the bushings and the shock eyelet together . If the shock eyelet is worn and you just change the top hat bushings then that will never fix the problem .

The alloy top hats are light but wear out quickly. The heavy duty steel jobbies last much longer. That's my experience on a Prophet.

Wrong size bushes?
Our bearing supplier have me one to try that was a fraction to small internally.
