Trying to give my old rp2 a bit of an overhaul. I've let the air out and now trying to remove air sleeve but the air sleeve is just spinning and not unscrewing. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Vice on the end with the valve?

Yep.. That end is fixed in a vice but the air can is just spinning...I fear it may be shagged

Grip the bottom of the air can and twist, middle bit's a sleeve that spins.
