[#1716544]

After being off the bike for a year due to injury, I'm heading to Blackdown for a ride tomorrow with a few friends who haven't ridden there before.
I know there was some logging there a while ago, but what is the state of the downhill singletracks in the woods? Are they still there? And in ridable condition?
Ta!

Re-built even better [thank you trail fairies] and running very controlled and fast at the moment. Some nice jumps if your up to it too. The rooty old downhill track is my fav at the moment. I assume you know where to find them, but if you don't then email me (profile).

BTW see Chipps recent thread about about scaring horse riders in there.

Nice film. I wouldn't ride into the blackout at that speed! Very good manualling and makes the gap jump and tree drop look so effortless too.

Every time I watch that I wish I had a 10th of his ability.I can't ride that trail well (or even badly)

That's good to know! Will try to find them tomorrow - and would love to say, ride them like in that video. But me thinks it will be a tad slower with wheels a bit more in contact with the ground!

Not seen that vid before.

Never seen xmas trees with so much light in the top section. I pootle down very slowly and still scare myself silly.

Very humbling to watch proper riders on the tracks you know yourself so well.

We've had more than one comedy group pileup in the tunnel of gloom, it's amazing how dark it can be.

The gaps over the fire roads are impressive but also the main point of conflict with horseriders and dogwalkers.

the final section of xmas trees does scare me: steep narrow rocky very loose and no chicken runs [i'm pretty chicken].
