[#2807699]

gotta go up to Patterdale one day next week for work, so it'd be rude not to take my bike up with me and go for a blast in the afternoon.

question is, are there any decent routes round there that are easily navigated and reasonably safe for a one man party, or is it a drive to Whinlatter or Grizedale, both of which ive done numerous times before.

Ride up to Boredale Hause and the lake side bridleway (tech fest)back from Sandwick. Just watch out for the carry descent from Boredale Hause and walkers on the lake side bit.

How about?:

Hartsop > Hayeswater > The Knott > High Raise > Wether Hill > Loadpot Hill > The Cockpit > Howtown > Boredale > Boredale Hause > GR:405146 > Patterdale.

Whats the lake-side trail that comes back on itself to Patterdale from the High Street? I remember that being awesome.

Me being me I've had a go at plotting that route.. does this look about right?

The start point is a bit south of Patterdale in a carpark?

That looks like a killer climb to start the ride!
