I'm off to York for the bank holiday weekend and wondered if anyone could recommend a good route in the area. Either xc or trail centre I'm not fussed.

Dalby is the nearest trail centre, about 20 miles
Yorkshire moors not much further,some Nice routes around Osmotherley although that's about 40 mins drive from York

There is a lot of riding near me at Sutton Bank. (just east of Thirsk, 15 miles north of york)
Have a look on strava, you'll see the routes,
Its a nice ride from there to osmotherly, following the drovers road and the bits of singletrack that come off it.
